Black Sheep Best Bitter
The legendary and uncompromising, Black Sheep Best Bitter.
We will always have a special place in our flock for this, our first ever brew. We dreamt of a perfect Yorkshire bitter – light amber, grassy fresh with a hoppy bite – and Best Bitter was born .
In the brewhouse, our passion for only the finest, quality ingredients, meets the Yorkshire Square fermenting system to create the ultimate session beer – a light, clean drinking and moreish pint with plenty of peppery hop.
Best Bitter is now one of the best-selling session beers in the country and by far the biggest selling beer we produce. We still stick to time-honoured techniques to create our Yorkshire classic, which is the Official Beer of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
Best bitter is the perfect accompaniment for tender, red meat. The bitter flavour of the Fuggle hop lends a peppery characteristic which really complements full flavoured meats like Yorkshire Beef or Lamb. Try a warming stew or pie filling with an added splash of Best Bitter.
